This very special Brick Project is transforming a target for graffiti and anti-social behaviour at the junction of Gadshill and Fishponds Road, BS5 6LJ into a beauitiful patchwork, painted by local people, May Park School, 58th Bristol (1st Eastville) Scout Group, and other community groups.

Dates and times of the project:.

Saturday 13 June: 9am - 6pm
Sunday 14 June: 9am - 6pm
Monday 15 June: 11am - 6.15pm
Tuesday 16 June: 12.30pm - 6.30pm
Wednesday 17 June: 9am - 5pm
Thursday 18 June: 9am - 5pm

The project has evolved as we've responded to unexpected challenges. After beginning preparation work, we discovered the wall had an anti-graffiti wax coating which prevented paint from bonding to the bricks. Removing and treating this surface safely required significantly more preparation time than anticipated, including the hire of a power washer and additional materials.

Combined with several days of poor weather, work that we originally expected to complete in around four days ultimately took nine.

Although this has used a significant portion of our budget, we are pleased to report that the walls are nearly ready for painting and we are excited to welcome participants to the project. To accommodate these delays, we have rescheduled the above workshop dates.

We encourage you to drop in any time to take part, we supply all materials.

Please offer us some support in the Gadshill Road Brick Project Crowdfunder, share this page to anyone who may want to participate.
Any donation of any size would be very welcome - there are some excellent prizes available.
