Westgate Street Brick Project

This Brick Project created a positive voice and narrative for the community of Gloucester. Working collaboratively and building on the legacy of artistic interventions led by Gloucester City Homes (GCH) throughout the 2020s, this proposal was co-designed to develop a mural consisting of literally thousands of individual paintings on a brick wall on the Fountain Square estate. With a paid freelance team of local people from the area, we assisted members of the community to amplify their voices in an inclusive and accessible artwork that they were in charge of. There is a lot of enthusiasm for the project to continue on the opposite wall, we will keep everyone posted on this website and social media.
