We created a giant Mandala display piece made from 216 individual circular pieces hand painted by the people of East Bristol. Creating a group Mandala is a unifying event in which people can express themselves individually within a cooperative structure. Funded by the Welcome Back Fund, this project used the same principles as all previous Brick Projects, allowing participants to engage in the medium of painting to represent themselves in a giant communal piece of art, celebrating the close knit community of East Bristol. The workshops were open to everyone and the final piece displayed below is permanently on display in
Baraka Community Café in Easton.
